iQOO 8Bit Climb From Eighth to First With Two Late Miramar Wins on BMSD 2026 Day 1
iQOO 8Bit won the last two matches of BMSD 2026 Day 1, both on Miramar, to jump from eighth with no win after four games to the top of the table on 63 points. Blitz Epigrotive Gaming (60), K9 Esports (57) and Welt Esports (55) follow, so eight points cover the top four with twelve matches left at Savaaya Convention in Gandipet, Hyderabad.
How the day played out
K9 Esports opened with a 25-point WWCD on Rondo, led by Saumyraj, with Taurus adding seven finishes. According to the tournament release, it is the second straight year K9 have won the Rondo opener of the Showdown finals. Blitz Epigrotive Gaming, Welt Esports and Team Apex Gaming then won on Erangel, giving four different winners from four matches.
The Miramar double helped iQOO 8Bit finish the day with 25 position points. Their 38 finishes matched Blitz, so the three-point lead comes entirely from position points (25 to 22).
The BMIC cut line is already tight
The top six advance to the BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA INTERNATIONAL CUP (BMIC) 2026, and the last spot is close. Version1 x Blue Army hold it on 43, one point ahead of Outrage Esports, and neither team has won a match. Team Apex Gaming (36) are eighth with a win but only 16 finishes, the fewest in the top ten.
The defending champions are out
Orangutan, the reigning Showdown champions, went out in the Last Chance stage. Two Last Chance survivors, Welt Esports and Myth Official, hold fourth and fifth.
Among this year's title-holders, BGIS 2026 champions iQOO SouL are ninth on 34, with Wyld Fangs tenth on the same total. BMPS 2026 champions GodLike Esports are 13th on 20, one place behind Nebula Esports on the same total.
What is at stake
The champions take ₹30 lakh from a ₹1 crore prize pool. The top six also go to BMIC 2026 in Mumbai, against teams from South Korea and Japan, with a pathway onward to the Global Championship 2026.
Karan Pathak, Associate Director, Esports at KRAFTON India, said in the release that "the next two days in Hyderabad will decide who carries India's flag onto the international stage."
