Gangstar Mirage City Launches in India With 30 Million Pre-Registrations

The Gangstar franchise is back with a new open-world crime game, and India is among the countries included in its regional launch.

Level Infinite and Gameloft launched Gangstar Mirage City today, August 20, across South Asia, Southeast Asia, Eastern and Central Europe, MENA and LATAM. The free-to-play multiplayer urban open-world action game is now available on iOS and Android, with more than 30 million players already pre-registered.

What Pre-Registered Players Get

Players who pre-registered before August 19 will receive exclusive launch rewards, including 300 Diamonds, Vehicle Upgrade Vouchers and a Vehicle Pack through the Global Vault Heist campaign.

Players who recruited friends into a 4-person crew during the pre-registration campaign can also receive additional vouchers for cosmetic items. Meanwhile, members of winning factions in India will receive an additional 300 Diamonds each.

The Global Vault Heist and Faction rewards can be claimed through the in-game mail system starting today. Players can also watch a special introduction video from Producer Don Phil, which may contain a hidden code for additional in-game rewards.

What Gangstar Mirage City Offers

Set in a near-future metropolis, Gangstar Mirage City combines structured story missions with a reactive open world. Players can take on campaign missions and dynamic quests while encountering spontaneous events across the city.

The game also features several multiplayer and competitive modes, including Co-op Heists, Taxi Takeover, Treasure Rush, Fight of the Bites, Big Head Mode and Orarra Fight.

Fight of the Bites is a restaurant-themed gang war, while Taxi Takeover and Treasure Rush focus on vehicle-based gameplay. Big Head Mode offers survival-style action, and Orarra Fight brings a battle royale-style experience.

Players can also build their own business empire by expanding territory across the city. Controlling districts increases income and influence, while a unified net worth system tracks the value of each player's empire. Progression unlocks better gear, vehicles and perks.

Vehicle Combat and Special Systems

Gangstar Mirage City also introduces several systems built around vehicle pursuits and combat.

The game uses run-and-gun mechanics and shoot-and-drive gameplay, alongside tools such as the Digital Disruptor, which can control nearby vehicles. Players can also use the Sentry System and Siege Plating to improve their combat capabilities and withstand attacks.

A Director's Mode allows players to record custom story videos and share their own Gangstar moments.

Creator Program Starts With Launch

The Gangstar Mirage City Creator Program is now live, offering creators incentives including a shared cash pool, in-game currency, reposts from official accounts and other traffic-boosting initiatives.

Level Infinite is also running a month-long series of "All Gangstar Show" global livestreams, where content creators compete to become the boss.
