KRAFTON India has announced BGMI Campus MVP, a new initiative designed to grow student-led gaming communities across engineering colleges in India. The 90-day program brings together 150 student ambassadors from 17 IITs and 28 NITs, who will organize BGMI tournaments, create gaming content, host campus meetups, and engage fellow students through gaming.
According to KRAFTON, the program attracted more than 16,000 applications from students representing over 5,000 educational institutions. From those applications, 150 ambassadors were selected for the inaugural batch, while another 100 students have been kept in the reserve pool.
The selected ambassadors have already completed onboarding and started organizing Classic Matches, campus activities, and community events as part of the first phase of the program.
Campus MVP Rewards
Campus MVP follows a reward-based progression system where ambassadors earn Rank Points (RP) for completing activities.
Rewards include:
- Welcome kits
- Food and shopping vouchers
- BGMI UC
- Gaming accessories
- Premium headphones
- Level 3 Backpack
The top five ambassadors nationwide can also earn rewards worth up to ₹15,000, while students participating in campus events will have the chance to win vouchers and exclusive BGMI merchandise.
Speaking about the initiative, Srinjoy Das, Director of Marketing and Product Management at KRAFTON India, said BGMI has grown beyond gameplay into a platform where players compete, create content, build friendships, and form communities. He added that Campus MVP is aimed at helping students lead gaming communities while bringing more players together through campus activities.
Campus MVP is the latest addition to KRAFTON India's community initiatives following BGMI's fifth anniversary celebrations and live experiences such as HOT DROP. The company says the learnings from this first batch will help expand the program to more colleges in the future.
Beyond BGMI, KRAFTON India has invested more than $250 million in Indian startups since 2021 and continues to support game developers through the KRAFTON India Gaming Incubator (KIGI).
