PMWC 2026 Champions: S2G Esports Win the World Cup
S2G Esports had already been here once today. Match Point Eligible, a Chicken Dinner away from the trophy, four players alive in the late game of Match 16 — and it slipped away to Aurora Gaming.
Then came Match 17, another opportunity, and another missed chance.
It took until the final match, but S2G Esports are the PMWC 2026 World Champions.
They finished the Grand Finals with 154 points, five clear of Nongshim RedForce. Aurora Gaming took third with 146, while eArena finished fourth with 140.
S2G did not need to win the final match. They had already put themselves in the position they needed to win the tournament.
Match 17: AlUla Deny S2G Again
If Match 16 was S2G's biggest missed opportunity, Match 17 gave them another chance to finish the tournament.
AlUla Club Esports won Match 17 with 22 points, while S2G Esports finished second with 15. eArena and Team Vitality tied for third with 10 points each.

S2G remained at the top of the standings and stayed Match Point Eligible, but the championship still wasn't theirs.
Two consecutive matches had now produced the same outcome: a Match Point team failed to close it out while another team grabbed the Chicken Dinner.
That is exactly what made the final day so unpredictable.
Match 18: Tianba Win the Final Game, S2G Win the World Cup
The championship went all the way to the final match.
Tianba won Match 18 with 19 points, securing the final WWCD of the Grand Finals. Their victory did not trigger the Smash Rule because Tianba were not Match Point Eligible.
S2G Esports did not add to their total in the final match. They didn't need to.
Their score remained at 154 points, enough to finish five points ahead of Nongshim RedForce and secure the PMWC 2026 title.
Nongshim RedForce added two points in the final match to finish on 149, while Aurora Gaming picked up six to close the tournament at 146.
The final WWCD therefore did not change the champion. Once Match 18 ended, S2G Esports were officially crowned PMWC 2026 World Champions.
How S2G Esports Won PMWC 2026
S2G's championship was built on consistency across the entire Grand Finals.
The team finished with three WWCDs, 65 placement points, 89 elimination points and 154 total points.
Nongshim RedForce also recorded three Chicken Dinners and actually finished with more elimination points, reaching 102. However, their 47 placement points left them five points behind S2G in the final standings.
Aurora Gaming produced one of the biggest moments of the final day by winning Match 16. That victory took them from 115 points to 140 and made them Match Point Eligible.
The final championship margin was just five points between S2G and Nongshim RedForce after 18 matches.

Where the Indian Teams Finished
GodLike Esports closed their campaign in 13th place with 84 points and one WWCD.
Their Match 11 victory provided one of the biggest moments for the Indian contingent, with Spower's memorable 1v4 clutch helping GodLike secure the Chicken Dinner.
GodLike were unable to build that momentum into a sustained challenge for the top positions, but the team still gave Indian fans a memorable moment during the Grand Finals.
Orangutan finished 15th with 76 points.
They remained outside the championship race during the final day and finished the tournament without a WWCD.
Both Indian teams completed all 18 matches of the PMWC 2026 Grand Finals.
The Smash Rule Creates a Wild Final Day
The final day showed exactly why the Smash Rule can completely change the way a PUBG Mobile tournament finishes.
Nongshim RedForce and eArena initially reached Match Point. S2G then joined them after Match 15, before Aurora Gaming entered the race with their Match 16 WWCD.
At one stage, four teams were Match Point Eligible, meaning any one of them could have ended the World Cup with a single Chicken Dinner.
S2G had two clear opportunities to finish the tournament.
They couldn't convert either.
Aurora stopped them in Match 16, while AlUla denied another opportunity in Match 17.
Then Tianba won the final match.
But S2G had already built enough of a lead to finish the tournament on top.
S2G Esports Are the PMWC 2026 Champions
Three days. 18 matches. Multiple teams reaching Match Point. Two separate opportunities for S2G to finish the tournament before the final game.
They missed both.
And they still walked away with the trophy.
That is what made the PMWC 2026 Grand Finals so dramatic. Under the Smash Rule, reaching Match Point is only the beginning. A team still needs to combine that status with the Chicken Dinner that ends the tournament.
S2G Esports eventually put themselves in that position and survived every challenge that followed.
