One match. That's what stands between the PMWC 2026 Grand Finals and a champion.
After Match 13, Nongshim RedForce and eArena have both crossed the 122-point Match Point threshold, and the Smash Rule is no longer a hypothetical. Both teams are now Match Point Eligible. From here, either one needs exactly one thing to win the World Cup: a Chicken Dinner.
There is no guarantee this tournament sees Match 18. It might not even see Match 15.
4Thrives Esports Win Match 13 With 22 Points
While Nongshim RedForce and eArena reached Match Point, 4Thrives Esports took the Match 13 WWCD, finishing the game with 22 points.
4Thrives collected 6 placement points and 16 elimination points, giving them the highest score of the match.
Nongshim RedForce finished second in Match 13 with 18 points, while AlUla Club Esports took third with 17 points.
The two Indian teams also produced solid Match 13 performances. GodLike Esports finished fourth with 15 points, while Orangutan placed fifth with 12 points.
eArena managed 10 points from the match, enough to take them to the 122-point Match Point threshold.

The result was particularly important for 4Thrives, who collected a massive 16 elimination points and secured the first WWCD of this stage of the final day.
However, the biggest storyline was happening behind them.
Nongshim RedForce Move to 123, eArena Sit One Point Behind
Nongshim RedForce's 18-point Match 13 performance pushed them to 123 points, good enough to overtake eArena at the top of the overall standings.

eArena, who led the standings through the first 12 matches, are still very much in the fight. 122 points means they have also cleared the Match Point threshold, reaching the minimum required score.
Just one point separates the two teams sitting on Match Point.
Everyone else is now playing to stop them.
The Rule Is Simple Now. It Just Isn't Simple to Watch
Crossing 122 does not win the trophy by itself. It only makes a team Match Point Eligible.
From the next match onward:
- If Nongshim RedForce win a WWCD, they become the PMWC 2026 World Champions.
- If eArena win a WWCD, they become the PMWC 2026 World Champions.
- If another team wins the match, the tournament continues and both Nongshim and eArena remain Match Point Eligible.
That third scenario is what keeps the rest of the lobby alive.
And Match 13 showed exactly why.
4Thrives Esports won the Chicken Dinner, meaning neither of the two eligible teams could end the tournament in this game. Nongshim and eArena now carry their Match Point status into the next match.
Why Nongshim RedForce Are So Dangerous
Nongshim RedForce now have 123 points, including three WWCDs and 83 elimination points.
Their three wins are tied for the most among the teams currently at the top of the standings, alongside S2G Esports.
More importantly, Nongshim are now one Chicken Dinner away from the championship.
They don't need to chase a huge number of eliminations.
They don't need to finish first in the overall standings.
They simply need to survive a match and win the WWCD.

Why eArena Are Still One Win Away
eArena led the overall standings after the opening 12 matches and entered the final day with 112 points.
Their 10-point Match 13 performance took them to 122 points, putting them directly into Match Point status.
Their current total includes 88 elimination points, the highest elimination tally among the current top two.
Nongshim may have taken first place, but eArena remain just as dangerous.
A single WWCD from eArena would immediately end the Grand Finals.
GodLike and Orangutan Continue to Fight
The Match 13 results were also positive for the two Indian teams.
GodLike Esports finished fourth in Match 13 with 15 points, including 15 elimination points. That gives them another strong scoring game as they continue their push through the final day.
Orangutan finished fifth with 12 points, collecting four placement points and eight elimination points.
Both teams therefore remain active in the race while the championship battle develops at the top.
For GodLike, the continued elimination output is especially important after their aggressive performances earlier in the Grand Finals.
For Orangutan, another top-five finish gives them a chance to keep climbing the overall standings.
Can Anyone Else Reach Match Point?
Yes.
And that could become important if neither Nongshim nor eArena manages to win the next match.
Aurora Gaming are currently third with 110 points, meaning they need only 12 more points to reach the 122-point threshold.
S2G Esports are fourth with 109 points, needing 13 more.
Nigma Galaxy are also within striking distance at 100 points, while 4Thrives Esports' 22-point Match 13 has moved them to 99 points.
If the next few matches do not produce a championship-ending WWCD, more teams could potentially reach Match Point and turn the final stage into an even bigger battle.
But right now, only Nongshim RedForce and eArena have the ability to immediately end the tournament with a WWCD.
What Happens If Another Team Wins?
This is where the next match becomes especially important.
If a team other than Nongshim RedForce or eArena wins the next WWCD, the PMWC 2026 Grand Finals will continue.
Nongshim will remain Match Point Eligible at 123 points, while eArena will remain eligible at 122.
Meanwhile, the winner of that match could add a significant number of points and potentially move closer to — or even reach — the Match Point threshold.
That could create multiple Match Point-eligible teams heading into the following match.

The Next Match Could Decide Everything
The PMWC 2026 Grand Finals was scheduled to have six matches on the final day.
That plan is no longer guaranteed.
With two teams already above the Match Point threshold, the next WWCD for either Nongshim RedForce or eArena will end the tournament immediately.
It could happen in the very next match.
It could happen later if another team takes the Chicken Dinner.
Or, if the eligible teams continue missing out on WWCDs, additional teams could enter Match Point contention and make the finish even more chaotic.
Match 13 has already shown that the eligible teams are not guaranteed to get the Chicken Dinner. 4Thrives Esports took the win, keeping the tournament alive for at least another match.
