BGMI Masters Series Season 5 Announced by NODWIN Gaming

NODWIN Gaming has announced the return of BGMI Masters Series for its fifth season, with the tournament kicking off August 10 and running all the way through September 6.
BGMS Season 5 will bring together 24 teams for a month of competitive BGMI action, and this time around the format has been tweaked to reward consistency from day one, with every single match feeding into a team's overall push for the championship.
The tournament kicks off with League Week 1 from August 10 to 13, followed by Bounty Weekend from August 14 to 16. From there, teams head into League Week 2 (August 17-20) before Super Weekend 1 runs August 21 to 23. The final league stage, League Week 3, plays out from August 24 to 27, leading into Super Weekend 2 from August 28 to 30.
Once the league stage wraps up, the Playoffs will run from August 31 to September 2, setting the stage for the top teams to battle it out at the Grand Finals from September 4 to 6.
Akshat Rathee, Co-Founder and Managing Director of NODWIN Gaming, spoke about how far the tournament has come since it first launched, saying the goal back then was simply to give Indian esports talent a stage worthy of the community's passion. He added that the ecosystem has evolved a lot since. Players are building longer careers, teams turning into proper institutions, and fans engaging on a much deeper level. Season 5, he said, is another step in that same direction.
The timing lines up with a broader shift happening in India's gaming space. Naavik's India State of Play 2026 report noted that India's mobile gaming market crossed $1 billion in combined revenue in 2025 and is on track to hit roughly $1.5 billion this year, with shooter titles making up 43% of the country's in-app purchase revenue.
Battle Royale games in particular continuing to pull in engagement and spending.
Five seasons deep, BGMS remains one of the country's biggest stages for both established pros and rising talent, and NODWIN says details on participating teams, prize pool, broadcast timings and the full format will be revealed in the coming weeks.
