PMWC 2026 Group B Day 1 Results: GodLike Finish Fifth as Team Vitality Dominate Opening Day

India's GodLike Esports closed out PMWC 2026 Group B Day 1 in fifth place, putting together a solid 37 points across six matches at the PUBG Mobile World Cup 2026 to stay right in the mix heading into Day 2.
It was not a flashy start. There was no chicken dinner for the Indian squad, but 26 elimination points paired with 11 placement points was enough to keep them comfortably inside the group's top five. At the top of the table, Team Vitality had a day nobody else came close to matching, finishing with 108 points and two Winner Winner Chicken Dinners.

PMWC 2026 Group B Day 1: How the Matches Played Out
Group B's six matches ran across three maps, opening on Rondo before three straight games on Erangel, then closing out with two matches on Miramar.
Team Vitality set the tone early and never really let up. They took Match 2 on Erangel with 23 points, then followed it with a 29-point win in Match 5 on Miramar. Those two performances created real distance between them and the rest of the lobby.
Across all six matches, Vitality racked up 71 elimination points and 37 placement points, good for a massive 48-point cushion over second place.
That second spot went to Nongshim RedForce, who had one of the most eye-catching runs of the day themselves. They won Match 3 and Match 4 back to back, collecting 18 points in each game. That two-match stretch pushed them to 60 points and second overall, just one point ahead of Horaa Esports in third on 59.
EArena, meanwhile, announced themselves immediately. Their Match 1 win brought in 39 points on its own, with 10 placement points and 29 eliminations, built largely around a nine-elimination game from Jowker. They cooled off after that but still ended Day 1 in fourth place with 58 points.
GodLike Esports Finish Fifth After PMWC 2026 Group B Day 1
For GodLike, Day 1 was more about staying in touch than making a statement.
Their best individual game came in Match 4, where a second-place finish brought in 14 points, 11 of them from eliminations. Beyond that, it was smaller returns, seven points in Match 1, five in Match 3, and enough scattered points elsewhere to reach 37 by the end of the day.
No chicken dinners, but no disasters either.
That matters in a group this stacked. Finishing fifth gives GodLike something to build from rather than a mountain of ground to make up on Day 2.
On an individual level, Spowerr was GodLike's standout performer in their best game of the day. In Match 4, he put up four eliminations and four knockouts, while Manya led the team in damage with 718 alongside three eliminations. Saum4y and Admino each added two eliminations apiece as GodLike finished second in the match and picked up 14 points.

What GodLike Need on PMWC 2026 Group B Day 2
The margins around GodLike are tight.
Fourth-placed EArena sit 21 points ahead, a gap that is very much closeable over six more matches. But sixth-placed S2G Esports are only two points behind, which means GodLike do not have much room to slow down either.
That puts the Indian squad in a spot where Day 2 is less about survival and more about conversion โ turning the elimination pace they have already shown into stronger placements.
Group B's remaining matches will decide who locks in a top-five finish and a direct route to the Grand Finals. Right now, GodLike are right on the edge of that conversation.
