Highlights

  • KRAFTON revealed five games at its third annual Media Day at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne.
  • The lineup: NO LAW, Project ZETA, Age Twisters, TARAE: The Unbound and PUBG: DED.NET, one per studio.
  • PUBG: DED.NET is a new PUBG game that moves beyond the traditional battle royale format with a roguelite structure set in 1996 Cascadia.
  • The five titles showcase KRAFTON’s plans to explore new genres, worlds and approaches across its studios.
  • All five are being showcased at KRAFTON’s Hall 9 booth at Koelnmesse until August 30.

KRAFTON spent its Gamescom Media Day showing what it wants to build next. Five games, five studios, five different approaches. The one PUBG players will care about most is a new PUBG game that is not a traditional battle royale.

The five games

  • NO LAW (Neon Giant). Open-world FPS RPG set in the lawless city of Port Desire, built to react to player choices and actions.
  • Project ZETA (NIRVANANA). A Multi-team Tactical Arena that moves away from traditional MOBA lanes and puts four teams of three into objective-driven combat.
  • Age Twisters (Piccolo Studio). Two-player co-op adventure following a grandfather and granddaughter across four stages of life.
  • TARAE: The Unbound (Boundary). Eastern dark fantasy action RPG inspired by reincarnation and karma, drawing on East Asian mythology and cultural imagination.
  • PUBG: DED.NET (PUBG STUDIOS). A new PUBG title set in 1996 Cascadia that moves beyond the battle royale formula with a roguelite run structure.

The PUBG one, explained

Creative Director Dave Curd described a game that keeps PUBG’s survival and competitive identity while moving beyond the battle royale formula that built the franchise.

The setting is Cascadia in 1996, inspired by the Pacific Northwest of the 1990s, and each session and player choice can shape what comes next.

What it means for BGMI players

There is no new BGMI announcement among the five titles showcased at Gamescom.

BGMI remains KRAFTON India’s flagship title and has crossed 260 million downloads. KRAFTON also says it has invested more than $250 million in Indian startups since 2021.

Taeseok Jang, who leads global publishing and the PUBG franchise, kept the message grounded: “Creating games that are remembered for years is difficult, and it takes time. There are no shortcuts.”

Gamescom 2026 runs through August 30 at Koelnmesse in Cologne, with KRAFTON showcasing its five-game lineup at Hall 9.
