BMSD 2026 Week 1 Day 2: TAG, SOUL and RNTX Relegated from Group A

GDR were not just playing the last match of Group A to finish top of the table. They were hunting the win outright, and they got it, stacking finishes through the closing circles at a pace nobody else in the lobby matched. That one match alone carried them from mid-table into the No. 1 seed for the week, and it dragged half the group's relegation picture down with it.

OG made them earn it. Five matches in, OG were sitting 12th with barely 25 points to their name, on the wrong side of the cut with nothing to protect. Then they strung together the sharpest final game of the day, trading finishes deep into the late circles and, for a stretch, looking genuinely capable of taking the chicken away from GDR themselves.

They didn't get there. GDR closed it out. But the fight OG put up was enough to erase most of a rebuilding week in one match, vaulting them from the relegation line to a comfortable 5th overall. That kind of composure under a closing circle usually comes from having stood in bigger ones before, and OG have that experience, having competed at PMGC 2026. It showed up exactly when it mattered.

RNTX and Soul Fall Just Short

RNTX's night ended closer to how it started. Heading into the last game, RNTX and Soul were the two teams with the most to lose, sitting just inside and just outside the safety line. For a while, RNTX looked ready to solve their own problem: alive deep into the late game, inside the last handful of squads, with a real look at the win.

Then OG and GDR closed in from both sides at once, and RNTX never found daylight between them. The chicken went to GDR. The points that came with it went to OG. RNTX finish the week 10th, one match and one squad away from a group they'd held for most of the day.

Soul's exit was tighter still. As the lobby thinned in that same final game, GodLike's Spower kept adding finishes, one after another, and that push turned out to be the whole story. GodLike's final tally landed exactly one point above Soul's, just enough to flip the 8th and 9th spots on the group table. Soul had spent most of the week inside the safe zone. They leave it by the width of a single finish.

TAG and Jonathan Show Promise Despite Relegation

TAG close the week in 13th place with 26 points and will move to Group B for Week 2. Despite the relegation, the team showed promising moments throughout the week, with Jonathan standing out as a star performer. His individual impact gave TAG moments to build on, and the team will look to turn those flashes into stronger collective performances in the next stage.

Nebula Esports Are Out Despite Their Recent Title

The other name worth sitting with in the relegation list is NBE. Nebula Esports lifted a BGMS title recently, but they finish 12th in BMSD Group A with 27 points and will head to Group B alongside Soul, RNTX and TAG.

Their recent title could not carry them through this week’s Group A standings, and they will now have to work their way forward from Group B.

Group A: Final Standings After Six Matches

The bottom eight teams, ranked 9th to 16th, are relegated to Group B for Week 2.

Group C: Standings After Three Matches

Group C's Day 2 table, after three matches, was calmer by comparison.

4END and RSPT lead Group C after three matches, with the top eight teams earning promotion to Group B for Week 2.

What's Next?

GodLike edging Soul by one point, RNTX getting closed out between two teams in the same final circle, and TAG looking to build on Jonathan's individual performances are among the storylines heading into Week 2.

Group B will bring together Group A's bottom eight and Group C's top eight. With promotion and relegation reshaping the groups, the teams will have another opportunity to strengthen their positions as the BMSD 2026 Qualifiers continue.
