The update introduces an asynchronous 1v1 mode alongside a new multiplayer season, revamped player cards and updated tournament squads.

KRAFTON India has rolled out the Real Cricket 5.3 update, bringing a new asynchronous multiplayer mode called One-Over Duel to the cricket game. The update also adds a fresh competitive multiplayer season, revamped player cards and updated squads across several international cricket tournaments and series.

The headline feature, One-Over Duel, is designed to let two players compete without requiring them to be online at the same time.

One-Over Duel: Six Balls, One Winner

One-Over Duel is a new asynchronous 1v1 PvP mode where each player competes by batting through a single six-ball over.

Instead of playing against an opponent in a live match, one player completes their over independently. The opponent is then notified and can play their turn whenever they are available. The player who scores more runs across their over wins the duel.

The innings can also finish before all six deliveries are completed if a player loses two wickets.

Winning duels awards XP and exclusive milestone rewards, giving players additional progression incentives while keeping the format short and accessible.

Anuj Sahani, Head of KRAFTON Incubator Program and Director, Publishing at KRAFTON India, said the mode was created around the challenge of getting two players online at the same time.

“The hardest part of competitive play on mobile has never been cricket - it’s getting two people online at the same moment.”

Sahani added that the asynchronous design allows players to send a challenge and have their opponent respond on their own time, reflecting KRAFTON's approach to making head-to-head competition fit more easily into shorter play sessions.

New Multiplayer Season Goes Live

Real Cricket 5.3 also introduces a new competitive multiplayer season.

With the season now live, players have a fresh leaderboard to climb as part of Real Cricket's ongoing multiplayer progression.

The new season arrives alongside One-Over Duel, giving players another competitive activity to return to following the update.

Multiplayer Player Cards Get a New Look

The update also brings a revamped multiplayer player card interface.

KRAFTON India says the cards have received an updated look and feel aimed at delivering a sharper and more immersive experience for players.

The refresh focuses on the presentation of multiplayer player cards rather than introducing a new gameplay system.

Tournament Squads Updated

Real Cricket 5.3 also refreshes its squads across several cricket competitions and series.

The update includes changes to the:

  • International squad
  • USA Cricket League
  • West Indies Premier League
  • Lanka Super League

These updates are intended to keep the game's rosters aligned with the current international cricket calendar.

Real Cricket 5.3 Availability

The Real Cricket 5.3 update is live now for players on Android and iOS.

With One-Over Duel, a new multiplayer season, refreshed player cards and updated squads, the September update expands both the competitive and roster-focused sides of Real Cricket while giving players a way to challenge others without needing both players online simultaneously.
