BGMI 4.6 Update Is Live: Midnight Hunters, Kiaraa and Ocean Odyssey

BGMI 4.6 is built around variety. KRAFTON India rolled out the update on September 16, and instead of one headline experience carrying the season, it is spreading the focus across three major additions: a supernatural mode that changes what happens after players are eliminated, the return of the fan-favourite Ocean Odyssey, and the arrival of Kiaraa, BGMI's latest India-created character IP.
KRAFTON India Director of Marketing and Product Management Srinjoy Das described 4.6 as "the widest season we have shipped in a while," with Midnight Hunters, Ocean Odyssey and Kiaraa designed to offer different experiences across the season.
Midnight Hunters Changes What Happens After Elimination

At the centre of BGMI 4.6 is Midnight Hunters, a new supernatural theme mode arriving on Erangel from September 16 to November 16.
The mode introduces Bloodline Awakening, which allows eliminated players to return as Vampires instead of simply spectating. Up to 20 Vampires can be active in a match at the same time.
Vampires have their own abilities, including Claw Strike, Absorb, Blood Sense and Blood Amberfication, allowing eliminated players to re-enter the fight against the remaining Hunters.
Several locations across Erangel also receive a supernatural makeover. Rozhok, Mylta, Quarry and Gatka become Vampire Takeover points, while Stalber and Sosnovka Military Base transform into the Nightkeeper's Hunter Guild, an indoor combat arena filled with hidden secrets and challenges.
The mode also introduces Guild Missions that give squads special objectives and higher rewards. Other additions include the Hunter Shooting Range, Clock Tower and Scream Crates, alongside enemies such as Bloodwalkers, Nightbats, the Vampire Elder and the Nightkeeper.
Players can also use themed items including the Silvermoon Chain for combat, movement and defence, Twilight Bat Wings for flight and enemy detection, Scarlet Tonic for rapid recovery, and Blood Pact to create persistent links between teammates.
Ocean Odyssey Returns to Erangel on September 30
Two weeks into the new season, BGMI will bring back one of its most memorable themed experiences.
Ocean Odyssey returns to Erangel on September 30 following continued demand from the BGMI community. The returning experience brings back the Ocean Palace, the Trident, the Kraken and the underwater exploration that made Ocean Odyssey different from the traditional battle royale experience.
Players who experienced Ocean Odyssey during its original run will get another chance to explore the underwater world, while newer players can experience it for the first time.
With Ocean Odyssey returning alongside Midnight Hunters, BGMI 4.6 will offer two very different themed experiences during the same season, with Midnight Hunters taking players into a supernatural battle above ground and Ocean Odyssey taking them beneath the waters of Erangel.
Kiaraa Arrives October 8 With a World Built in India
The 4.6 season also expands BGMI's India-first content with Kiaraa, an original in-game character IP created by KRAFTON India's in-house art team entirely in India and exclusively for Indian players.
Following Anamika, BGMI's first original character IP created in India, Kiaraa takes the concept further with her own origin story, location on Erangel and full collection. She will enter BGMI from October 8 onwards.
Kiaraa's world is centred around a new Diwali-themed Indian Bazaar on Erangel. The new point of interest allows players to explore, fight and eventually take on Kiaraa's Boss Battle.
To awaken Kiaraa and enter the Boss Fight Zone, players must activate four peacock-shaped lamps placed across the Bazaar. Squads will then have to work together to defeat her and claim the available rewards.
Kiaraa Nakshatra Collection
- Divine Peacock Glider
- Divine Radiance SCAR-L
- Divine Chariot Buggy
- Arrow Rain Emote
- Divine Edge Machete
Players can also take part in Kiaraa Arena challenges, visit the Kiaraa Exchange Center and collect daily login rewards.
Kiaraa represents a broader expansion of BGMI's India-specific content, with KRAFTON India creating characters, stories and spaces around Indian players rather than simply adding Indian elements to existing content.
A Diwali Celebration Built for India
The India-first experience continues with BGMI's first Prize Path created specifically for India.
The Diwali Prize Path begins on October 22 and runs across 20 levels until November 15. Rewards include the Revel 01 Set, Royal Enfield Continental GT 650, Diwali Gold Set and Royal Enfield Bullet 350.
The season also brings a wider slate of festive content around Navratri and Diwali, continuing BGMI's focus on experiences connected to major moments in the Indian calendar.
One Punch Man, Lincoln and B.DUCK Join BGMI 4.6
BGMI 4.6 continues the game's collaboration slate with a mix of global entertainment, automotive and lifestyle properties.
One Punch Man

One Punch Man arrives through a Spin and Mini Royale Pass beginning September 21. Players will be able to select from a range of One Punch Man character skins, along with additional themed sets and Lucky Spin content.
Lincoln Motor Cruize
Lincoln Motor Cruize runs from September 16 to November 9, featuring the Lincoln Model L and Lincoln Navigator Black Label, with multiple colour variants available.
B.DUCK
B.DUCK brings a playful new gameplay experience to BGMI. Players can transform into B.DUCK and compete in turn-based collision battles across floating platforms.
The objective is to knock opponents into the water as the battlefield gradually shrinks, with the last player or team standing taking the win.
Techno Gamerz Collaboration Arrives October 20
BGMI's creator ecosystem also expands with a new collaboration with Techno Gamerz, one of India's biggest gaming creators.
The collaboration goes live on October 20 and brings a dedicated Techno Gamerz Voice experience alongside the Sunken Templar collection and themed weapon content.
The season also continues BGMI's wider creator and WOW ecosystem, giving players opportunities to move beyond simply playing maps and create their own experiences.
WOW Gets a Halloween Update and New Creator Tools
BGMI's WOW ecosystem receives several additions in the 4.6 update.
Steal Brainrot gets a Halloween update featuring 17 new collectible Brainrot characters inspired by Halloween, Mexico's Day of the Dead, ghosts, werewolves and the Headless Horseman. The update also introduces a new progression currency.
A new Ghost Ship Event Mode allows players to fly onto a Ghost Ship featuring a Halloween Shop and Ghost Cannonballs that can mutate and evolve Brainrot characters.
The Brainrot Wand can transform players into a Halloween Brainrot, while B.DUCK Pool Party brings another competitive experience on floating platforms.
For creators, the WOW Mobile Editor receives upgrades across creation, gameplay, performance and customisation. The update also adds higher platform limits, new tools, tutorials and debugging features.
According to KRAFTON India, more than 50,000 maps have been created on WOW, with over 35,000 currently live and playable. More than 23 million BGMI players have tried the mode, while close to one million players use it every day.
More Collections Coming Throughout BGMI 4.6
Beyond the headline experiences, BGMI 4.6 will continue adding new collections and progression systems throughout the season.
Platinum Soulmeister arrives from September 25, followed by Sanguine Sonata from October 25 and Umbral Scorpius from November 1.
The season therefore continues to expand beyond its launch-day content, moving from Midnight Hunters and Ocean Odyssey to Kiaraa's Diwali world, creator collaborations, global IPs and festive experiences.
