Max Verstappen Beats 100 Drivers at Silverstone as Jonathan Gaming, Techno Gamerz and Shreeman Legend Represent India
Max Verstappen started 101st. Thirty-five minutes later, there was no one left in front of him.
That was Max vs 100, Red Bull's global karting challenge at Silverstone, where the four-time Formula One World Champion took on a field of 100 creators, journalists, athletes and personalities from around the world, all racing in identical karts.
The challenge had a simple elimination rule: a driver was eliminated the moment the rear of Verstappen's kart drew level with the front of theirs. Verstappen eventually caught every driver ahead of him in just 35 minutes at the iconic Silverstone Circuit.
Three Indian Names on the Grid
India was represented by Red Bull athletes Jonathan Gaming and Techno Gamerz, alongside content creator Shreeman Legend.
Shreeman Legend (Siddhant Joshi), driving Kart No. 33, was the highest-finishing Indian in 32nd place.
Jonathan Gaming (Jonathan Amaral), driving Kart No. 16, finished 36th, while Techno Gamerz (Ujjwal Chaurasia), in Kart No. 72, finished 39th.
All three Indian participants finished inside the top 40 in a field that featured 100 creators, journalists, athletes and personalities from around the world.
India Gets a Dedicated Hindi Broadcast
Max vs 100 was also brought directly to Indian audiences through a dedicated Hindi live broadcast on Red Bull Motorsport.
Formula One commentator Soumil Arora and BGMI caster Ocean Sharma handled the Hindi commentary alongside the English-language coverage.
The participation of Jonathan Gaming, Techno Gamerz and Shreeman Legend connected India's gaming and motorsport audiences with the global event at Silverstone.
Max Verstappen Takes on 100 Karts
For Verstappen, the sight of 100 karts waiting ahead of him made for an unusual start to the challenge.
“When I went to the grid and saw 100 karts in front of me, I was a little bit worried.”
The opening lap brought plenty of traffic, but Verstappen soon settled into the challenge.
“After my first lap with all the carnage, I thought, ‘Okay, we’ve got this under control!’ It started to become really fun, and once I got into a rhythm, was able to overtake them one by one and saw the gap closing, that was really exciting.”
After working through the entire field, Verstappen completed the challenge with the win.
“It was great to be back in a go-kart again and go back to basics. It reminded me of racing back in the day. I had a great day and it was good to come out with the win.”
Techno Gamerz Gets a Close Look at Verstappen
For Techno Gamerz, the experience was about more than simply completing the race.
The Indian creator found himself close to Verstappen's kart during the challenge and got a direct look at what it feels like to be overtaken by the Formula One champion.
“Now I feel like I understand what the other drivers must feel when Max overtakes them! I got a little taste of that feeling. It felt great driving with him – Max’s kart was literally just ahead of mine. It was crazy.”
Techno also joked about the heavy traffic during the race, suggesting that Mumbai's auto-rickshaw drivers might have been particularly well suited to navigating the packed track.
“You know who would do well in a race like this? Mumbai’s auto-rickshaw drivers! There was so much traffic out there, and they know exactly how to find their way through it. I think they’d have finished inside the top 20!”
For Techno, the opportunity itself was something he never expected to experience.
“I’ll always want to thank Red Bull because this is the kind of experience you can’t buy with money. I couldn’t even have imagined this – actually, it wasn’t even a dream of mine, because I never imagined something like this could happen.”
Shreeman Legend on Racing Alongside Max
Shreeman Legend, who finished 32nd, was the highest-finishing Indian participant in Max vs 100.
Speaking about racing alongside Verstappen, Shreeman highlighted the Formula One driver's overtaking ability and reaction time.
“I was really proud to be racing with Max. Watching the way he overtook people showed you what real skill looks like – his reaction time was incredible. I watched the video afterwards and it was insane to see how quickly he made his way through the field.”
Shreeman also spoke about what he learned from the experience and thanked Red Bull for the opportunity.
“I’m really thankful to Red Bull for giving us opportunities like this. You can’t imagine the scale of the experiences you get, but every opportunity also gives you so much to learn. That’s what I’m taking away from today.”
Three Indian Creators, One Goal for the Future
All three Indian participants finished inside the top 40, with Shreeman Legend in 32nd, Jonathan Gaming in 36th and Techno Gamerz in 39th.
Techno is already looking beyond the result and believes more preparation could lead to an even stronger showing in a future challenge.
“At the end of the day, three of us came here from India and made an impact. All three of us finished inside the top 40, and it was great to see three Indian flags up there. With some more practice, maybe next time we can make that the top 15.”
Max vs 100 gave three of India's prominent gaming creators an opportunity to race alongside one of Formula One's biggest names at Silverstone, while the dedicated Hindi broadcast brought the event directly to Indian viewers.
For the Indian trio, the top 40 finish provides a benchmark, while Techno Gamerz has already set a potential target of the top 15 for the next opportunity.
